32 weeks!
We hit another big milestone today for Jack - 32 weeks! This milestone seemed so far away & unlikely when we first got here so it's amazing to think that it is finally here.
32 weeks also means that we are now 2 weeks away from meeting Jack. We have a c-section scheduled for noon on October 4th (the day I hit 34 weeks). Today is day 49 in the hospital with only 14 more to go until Jack's arrival.
Time seems to be moving a bit slower as the end approaches. I've been going a little stir crazy and had to be more creative in filling my time. I'm also trying to fit in more naps - if nothing else, it makes the time go faster! I haven't been sleeping great either so that combined with being pregnant and not getting out of bed makes me pretty tired a lot of the time.
Things have been going smoothly over the last week. We had a scan with the specialist Monday and Jack looked good and the fluid was still stable. Jack had the hiccups during the scan so we could see his little belly moving (adorable).
I also met with a nurse from NICU to start preparing for that part of our journey. She said at 34 weeks, Jack's biggest challenges will be learning to eat & being able to do so while gaining weight. With the steroids he should be able to breathe on his own. She also said that they will tell us he's there until my due date (November 15), but he will probably be there less than that. It will really all depend on how long it takes him to learn to eat and be able to keep his weight up. Here's hoping he's an overachiever!
